Dialect and Accent Coaching
A dialect coach for hundreds of actors (and non-actors) and for more than 70 productions during the past 35 years.
I have worked with clients in-studio in the San Francisco/North Bay area, and by video conference, nationally and internationally.
I have acted on the stage and worked professionally in film, TV, and voice-acting. I have taught acting (28 years), and have directed over 30 productions. I am a produced and published playwright. I therefore understand the requirements of dialect coaching and dialect productions from many points of view.
I have taught or assistant-taught Auditions classes at the University of Oregon and Gonzaga University. Audition techniques were included in all of my acting classes. Having coached students for, and been a judge for, Irene Ryan competition at the Northwest College Drama Festival, and coached actors for University/Resident Theatre Association (U/RTA) auditions, I have the experience and knowledge to help actors get to the next level in their audition work.
In addition to teaching
Acting, I have taught Public Speaking courses and can help you give compelling speeches and presentations for the purposes of demonstrating, teaching, persuading, or paying tribute. I can also help you prepare for an important interview.
I have over 30 years experience working with vocal characterization techniques as an voice actor, and in teaching acting and voiceover.
